A short academic biography
Junyoung Park received B.S., M.S., and Ph. D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 2009, 2011, and 2014. His Ph. D. research focused on System-on-a-Chip (SoC) architectures for energy-efficient vision processing. He is interested in customized architectures and circuits for computationally intensive algorithm such as computer vision, machine learning, and their integration on the mobile platform. His previous research interests include machine-learning based high-throughput network-on-chip (NoC) architectures, and novel architectures for accelerating vision algorithms on a system-on-chip. He has participated in the design of 6 SoCs over 5 years including 4 SoCs for full chip architecture responsibility. His work has been presented and published in the area of solid-state circuits, including the IEEE International Solid-State Circuit Conference (ISSCC) and the IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC). He also received Intel/Analog Devices/Catalyst Foundation CICC Student Scholarship Award in Custom Integrated Circuit Conference (CICC).
